This is hands down the best gluten free cookbook I have ever bought. I bought it as an e-book several days ago and since then I have made:

Cinnamon Raisin Bread
Oatmeal Bread
Granola with Dried Fruit
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chocolate Cherry Coconut Cookies
Double Chocolate Cookies
Lemon Poppyseed Muffins

Everything has been wonderful. Her flour blend is simple and it's a nice change from rice flour based blends or blends with half a dozen flours. If you are hesitating because it is hard to get Expandex in Canada, don't worry about it. I am eating a Lemon Poppyseed Muffin right now that was made without Expandex and it is a really great muffin. I expect it would be even better with Expandex and I hope to buy some in the States this summer but I am really impressed with the recipes even without that ingredient.

One of my favorite books - my pages are worn with earmarks of recipes. Carol Fenster is one of the best when it comes to making good recipes to make for a variety of occasions! Excellent speaker if you get the chance to hear her or get her book. This one is the best of the bunch!

This recipe book has given me hope that I can eat "normally" again! It has many delicious recipes that I've tried and lots that I have yet to try. When I had to go on a gluten-free diet, I thought it was the end to eating any kind of baked goods!

The explanations of what types of flours can replace wheat flour are very helpful, especially the breakdown of what types of flour you want to use for baking vs. thickening sauces etc.

The recipes are simple and easy to follow. I can't wait to try more of them!

The only downfall to this book for me is that the nutritional information is not provided for each recipe. I would prefer that at least the calorie, carb and fat count were included. That said however, with new technology, you can simply go on-line and enter your recipes to get this info, it's just an extra step in our busy days!

I bought this book after reading a review about the white bread recipe. The recipe is excellent and to date the best gluten free white bread I have tasted. Toasting is one area where I find most gluten free bread fails in both taste and texture. This bread is excellent when toasted, isn't dry and crumbly and tastes just as good as regular white bread. If the other recipes in this book are this good, I look forward to trying them all.

I love this book! I have cooked a lot of the recipes in the book (a different one each night) and have yet to be disappointed! even my picky kids like the meals that I cook! It is filled with useful information and even includes Carols own all purpose flour mix. I have recommended it to many friends and would make a great gift for anyone that is wanting to go gluten free. It cuts out the hassle in finding recipes on line.

I just got the book in the mail today and made the white sandwich bread. I have tried way too many bread recipes and none have made me happy, until this one. It tastes like real wheat bread. I love it and I don't need to eat gluten-free my little boy does. If this is the only good recipe in the book it was worth it to be able to eat bread again. I can't wait to try more! Thanks a million to Carol Fenster!!

Coming from a long tradition of Scandinavian baking, it was difficult and frustrating for a time to have to change gears and learn how to cook and especially bake gluten-free because of the need of several adult family members. As another reviewer said (which influenced me to try it) this cookbook truly is the last cookbook you will ever need to purchase. EVERY recipe I have made has been exceptional. There are many many baking recipes of all kinds, many many main course meals that have had my dinner guests raving, and much more. The breads and muffin recipes have been tasty and I am encouraged there will be a good dressing for our Thanksgiving turkey dinner. The author has good instructions in the beginning and has devised each of the recipes to be absolutely delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
