5.0 out of 5 stars Touching, creative, immersive, and beautiful., Dec 13 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Beyond Good and Evil (CD-ROM)
This is by far the most impressive games I have seen in the past number of years. It goes way beyond many of the best-seller games I have seen of late. Character development, beautiful scenery, touching, and funny. it's all just fantastic. Pulls you into the story with a number of very unique moments... When was the last time you had to chase a dog in a videogame? Or take a picture of dolphins jumping out of the water? Or get a sentimental present from an in-game character?

This game isn't only touchy-feely either - there is racing, fighting, and an underground agency trying to uncover the truth....

I originally got a "copy" of this game, but after a few hours of playing it, I HAD to go out and buy it - that's how good it is.
And I'm not regretting my purchase one bit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Breathtaking., July 3 2004

This review is from: Beyond Good and Evil (CD-ROM)
When I got this game, I thought twice about playing it. I was a little wary about a game in which you fight alongside a pig. Once I picked up and played this game, however, that all changed.

This is the kind of game that makes me believe that we cannot make graphics any better (then I play a game like Spider-man 2 for the PC... Blech). The scenery and characters are breathtaking.

The camera is an interesting aspect of this game, and it adds a whole new level of gameplay. Taking photos of the indigenous life is enough to make this a great game, but then you throw in a great fighting system and a great storyline. The Dai-jo stick is the best weapon EVER! You flip around, Dai-jo whirling and take out badguys. Then, there are the guys that take more thought to beat, like a giant green cyclopic creature!

It really was a great feeling sending in a picture of a giant bone-snake thing and having the woman who pays you be amazed at your find. Too bad it's a boss enemy...

Great game, and for 20 bucks it's quite a bargain.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beyond Good and Evil Review, May 16 2011
Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Beyond Good and Evil (CD-ROM)
Beyond Good and Evil is a well done game. Good music, which sets the feel for different parts of the game. For the most part, good controls, though lacking, in some less important parts of the game. Even though this is an older game, it's puzzles and world make it a good RPG to play, even with so many newer RPGs out today. If you haven't played Beyond Good and Evil yet, I would recommend you try it.
