Not disappointed but where's the ending, Nov 29 2003
This review is from: 01 Mind Guest (Paperback)
Sharon Green is my favorite author & I have almost all of her books. I just finished reading both books in this series (Mind Guest & Gateway To Xanadu). They were not disappointing, the stories were interesting & the characters are great (Valdon is terrific but they should have used his changing talent a LOT more). But there's the same problem as with some of her other novels - the last book ends in what is obviously the MIDDLE of the story with lots of loose ends & further adventures planned but no sequel ever published! I love her books but I'm getting REALLY frustrated with unfinished stories that have no ending (Hellhound Magic, Mists Of Ages, Lady Blade). I would LOVE to see her finally do sequels to these incomplete stories as I like the characters & want to see what was supposed to happen next!

I love Diana Santee, but not the graphic sexual slavery., Sep 6 1999

Diana Santee herself is an incredible creation, being sarcastic, commited, and realistically vulnerable. But what do you expect? All of Sharon Green's heroine's are wonderful. However, I, being female and I admit, fairly naive, find all the Graphic sexual slavery very hard to get through. Alot of the time it makes a point, and makes it loud and clear, but as the book goes on, or maybe because I had just read The Crystals of Mida before, I find myself becoming desensetized to it. Which isn't good. Maybe that's just me but I keep getting the feeling that this slavery bit is going too far. While I liked it and thought it was well written, I really prefered Gateway to Xanadu!

Mind Guest--no toys needed!, Feb 11 2003

Sharon Green always writes a captivating story, and this is no exception. She writes her women as strong, intelligent, and independant, and Diana Santee is about as good as they get! As usual, our heroine is confronted by a man who is stronger than she is and a situation she has no control over. There is a lot of dark sex and forbidden desires in this book, so if you're at all faint of heart be cautious. However, it is fiction and not real. If you've ever had a taboo thought, this book will take you places that will leave you panting and hot! It will let you completely enjoy those closet fantasies without actually doing them. If your sex life could use a little spicing up, try reading the pleasure slave section out loud to your man. I guarantee he will like it and you may like the results!! A very NAUGHTY and very HOT book.
