This is the best of Holford's books, and offers a practical easy to understand
outline of what nutrients and supplementations are needed during our mature years. Aging is inevitable but doing it with grace and vigor is the whole emphasis of this book.

Supplementation no longer needs to be a confusing endeavor with hours spent staring at products with names that mean nothing to the lay person, as each body system is explained,
and the necessary support through vitamins have been well covered within the pages of this book.

I enjoyed reading and applying the principles of the book. The money invested in buying the book and the time spent reading it was worth it.

I would recommend this book.

I first got this book out of the local library and read it from cover to cover. Being over 60 and in (so far) excellent health, I'm keen to stop the rot for as long as I can so I bought a copy to keep as a reference.
My partner was particular interested in Patrick's comments about the side effects of statins for cholesterol control and followed his advice to great benefit.
If you are interested in improving or maintaining your body and brain for as long as you can, buy this book.

I started reading these type of books when I turned 65, but you would be able to age better with these knowledge a lot earlier.
Non the less, I am so glad that I read and am busy to reread, this book and love to have the real book and not only the kindle version.
If you can lay your hands on the book, buy it and live up to Patrick's "secrets", you will not be disappointed.
