I'm sure the actual recording is great and I've seen the show done locally by a high school so it's definitely worth checking out. My issue is that I've ordered the cd twice and both times it came, it had been mispackaged! The case, liner, and cd all indicated it was the musical "13" but when I plugged in the cd, I quickly discovered that I had a cd of Asian spa music. Yup. The whole thing. I missed the deadline to return it so gave it to my massage therapist, then ordered a second one and even though it had been opened previously (and I'm thinking "Okay, great, they at least went through them and weeded out the bad ones"), I got ANOTHER cd of Asian spa music!! Now I think I've missed the deadline to return that one too -- bah! I'm busy, what can I say, but geez Amazon, get your act together!

We were excited about receiving this CD, because it is hard to find.
However, the music did NOT match the title. We got another copy, same problem.
The batch must have been corrupted.
Very disappointing.

I am not sure were the other folks are getting their information but 13 was never a flop. It played out in New York on Broadway for 105 shows and for over a year. It's tour ended per contract. It has played world wide and was a hugh hit there as well. It is funny and a solid production. It is well worth the CD.

This is a really sweet, funny musical. The kids involved in this show are extreemly talented with a couple being standouts. The cd includes a couple of songs that were dropped from the show. "Opportunity" is perhaps one of the best songs in the show and it was dropped. Maybe if they would have left the show intact it would have played longer on Broadway. I saw the show two weeks before it closed and I really liked it. I hope it has a long life with tours and local theater because the story and the music are both very good.

Jason Robert Brown outdoes himself with 13. The only work he's done equal to it is Songs For a New World. I wish that more people could see the genius behind this work. I don't think everybody realizes how grown-up 13 year olds are. 8th or 9th graders know WAYY more that people think they do and can speak quite eloquently when they want to
