I was very disappointed with this book. I wanted quick easy recipes to throw in the crockpot. Many of these recipes are in the oven, not even in the crockpot. And I didn't find any 'quick and easy' recipes. I may not even keep this book. It just goes to show...check for reviews before buying!!!

2.0 out of 5 starsNot What I Expected or WantedMar 13 2011

I am not impressed with this cookbook at all. In fact, I will be donating it tomorrow. Very few of the recipes are actually for the "slow cooker" aka crock pot. Most of the recipes are for the over. I wanted easy slow cooking veg recipes that I could turn on in the morning when I left for work, and would be ready when I got home. Most of these need to bake in the over for awhile, not workable for us. Don't waste your time!

3.0 out of 5 starsGood recipes, but NOT for crockpotOct 23 2011

Like the previous reviewer, I was surprised to find that most of the recipes in this book were NOT for a slow cooker/ crockpot. There were some great recipes, and each had a good photo. But the cooking methods involved oven baking and other methods. I guess the author's idea of "slow cooking" is simply meals that cook, well, slowly!
