4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent compilation of blues harmonica, Oct 5 2006
By G. Hauptfleisch - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: 1926-2002 Blowing The Blues (Audio CD)
If you are into blues harmonica this is an excellent collection of songs nicely contained on a boxset of 3 CDs. As I am "new" to blues history, I experienced the 1st CD as slightly obscure - but keep in mind the boxset mentions this is about the history of the blues harmonica, thus the 1st CD has songs from the 1920s. The other 2 CDs are brilliant and you will certainly not be disappointed in the quality of the recordings and compelling blues harmonica. If you are a beginner blues harmonica player there is much inspiration to found on the 3 CDs. I am not disappointed and heartily recommend this boxset. In my opinion it is excellent value for money. My favourite track is Sonny Boy Williamsons' track - ninety nine.
