Album Description

Part One of Two. CD pressing of the first single pulled from the best-selling British singer/songwriter's sophomore album All The Lost Souls. Recorded in Los Angeles, both the single and album were produced and mixed by Tom Rothrock, who oversaw Blunt's debut album Back To Bedlam. "For me, there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever," says James. "Having sold over 11 million albums, I know that the likelihood of doing that again is really minimal. Instead of setting that as a target, I set out to do and record something that I really enjoy, that I'm really happy with." Features '1973' plus the non-album 'Dear Katie'. Atlantic. 2007.

The past few years have really been good to James Blunt as a successful newcomer to pop music. But there are high hopes for his second upcoming album All The Right Souls. Unfortunately, his second album doesn't have a signature opening single for the record with 1973. The song isn't that definitive enough to connect with listeners from the heart, as much as his first album tracks You're Beautiful and High had accomplished. Although it is very soulful, the song capture me as much with the lyrics. I just hope his next single from the record tries to make it worth listeners while.
