Product Description

3.5mm FEMALE to 2.5mm MALE adapter: Stereo adapter 3.5 to 2.5 adapter is an audio headphone adapter and converter that adapts or converts 3.5mm headsets to a 2.5mm headset. Adapt larger 3.5 mm output of some audio headsets and other electronic music devices that you can plug into standard 2.5 mm headset opening of cell phones, etc. as an input jack using this 3.5mm to 2.5mm audio connector. This 3.5 millimeter to 2.5 millimeter pin connector has 2.5mm pin on one end and a socket to fit any 3.5mm pin from a typical headphone used with stereos, walkmans, or most MP3 player's headset openings. 3.5mm to 2.5mm jack adapter for less! 3.5mm to 2.5 adapter headset jack (or 3.5 to 2.5 adapter) is useful because majority of headsets available for most electronics like portable stereos, portable MP3 players, and walkman's have a 3.5mm pin that does not fit into majority of cellular phones that have a standard 2.5mm headset jack opening instead of the standard 3.5mm jack found on most portable radio, stereos, MP3 players, etc. 3.5mm to 2.5mm adaptor allows you to plug standard 3.5 mm stereo headphones into the smaller 2.5mm input available on most mobile phones.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what you order, doesn't work either July 25 2012

I realize it was only $3.28 shipped to my door, but it turned out to not even be worth that. It wasn't what was pictured, what arrived din't have the 90 degree bend on the 2.5mm male connector. That wouldn't have been a big deal except for the fact that it is so poorly made that the 2.5mm plug was undersized and wouldn't make a proper connection. Tried to make it work for a few minutes and then threw it aside. At this price point I think you are taking a gamble whether the unit that arrives at your house works or not.

It works, but for some reason with my Sennheiser 558's the sound is in mono and not stereo, it does work though

Did not fit and therefore did not work as promised. Too bad because I thought it would solve a simple problem

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good quality for the price. Sept. 15 2013

Pros: These are good quality for the excellent price.

Cons: I do feel that the wire is a little too thin. The 3.5mm device you will connect to this will have a considerably heavier wire. The 2.5mm sized cable will undergo excessive stress supporting the weight of that 3.5mm jack and the larger wire. I know from experience that someone will have to be careful with these adapters or they will wear out quickly (internal wires will fray).

Summary: For the cost, these are worth the cons, and I bought a few of them at once. They arrived fairly quickly and packaged in a tough little bubble wrap envelope. These are perfect if you are not using them for a light set of earbuds, if you are going to connect headphones with a thick wire, I suggest you go for the more expensive block type adapter.
