Great, great cookbook Sept. 23 2012
By Natalie No-CHAN - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Don't judge by their small size, Hamlyn all color cookbooks are awesome and this one is one of the best. Embarrassingly, I probably reach for this more than any more of the beautiful, hardbound books by famous authors. What I really love about the Hamlyn guides is that there is a full color picture of the finished dish opposite of the recipe. My copy is well thumbed and has a ridiculous number of sticky notes in it. The recipes included are simple, easy and you will make them again and again. The soups are especially good, but the recipe for burnt butter risotto changed my life and I return to again and again. Can you imagine making a risotto without stirring over a hot stove? The book shows you how to make it in the oven and you will never cook risotto on the stovetop again. It comes out perfect everytime.

All together these books are incredibly well done and an excellent value. I own many of them and would recommend to anyone. With 200 recipes, you are bound to find many that you like.
