This book is a great gun value reference guide. I choose it over the Blue Book of Gun Values because of the picture content, as other reviewers have mentioned. Almost every weapon in this book has a corresponding image which makes identification much more interesting as well as easier. As far as I can tell it covers everything I want it to and breaks down values by condition (NIB, Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor, etc). This thing is HUGE (very thick) so make room on your shelf. Each gun is adequately described but doesn't go into very much detail, more of a quick overview, so if you're expecting deeper discussion this isn't the right book. For it's purpose, highly recommended. If you sell guns or are interested in purchasing them, especially used guns, I think this is a must-have.

I recommend this publication for the picture coverage. It make it a great deal easier to identify what variation of a model that you have. The only fault I find is the lack of some foreign military weapons coverage. I have a couple of Russian weapons that are not covered in the book. Other than that, I think that it is much better than the Blue book.

This is an excellent reference book for any firearms enthusiast. It would be 5 star if it came with a digital copy on CD like the 2009 edition did.
