About the Author

Singer-songwriter Ken Sheldon creates original music for the young ... and the young at heart! In fifth grade, he purchased a 25-cent guitar at a garage sale and has been performing for enthusiastic crowds ever since. Ken plays the guitar, banjo, hammer dulcimer, harmonica, whistle, and kazoo. He has ten nieces and nephews, many of whom have comtributed their voices to the lively choruses of these tunes. Ken makes his home in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. This is his first audiocassette for Scholastic.

This review is from: 25 Super-Fun Spelling Games: Easy, Reproducible Games That Help Kids Learn the Words on Their Spelling Lists (Paperback)
I am a fourth grade teacher and didn't find this book usefull at all.... Maybe for lower grades it is better. I would recommend the book Spell Well and Spelling Activities for Any Spelling Unit ( I think that's the name).

4.0 out of 5 stars Adds a little something different for kids bored with spelling, May 12 2010
This review is from: 25 Super-Fun Spelling Games: Easy, Reproducible Games That Help Kids Learn the Words on Their Spelling Lists (Paperback)
I found this book very useful in adding a little spice to the boring spelling lists. Not every child is a good speller, and this book offers several different games you can play with any spelling list. They are all reproducible so you can use the book for any younger siblings on their way. Many spelling books offer only ideas that can be used with an entire class or group, but many of these games can be done at home.
