Why is this DVD so expensive? It's not even a very good movie. Predictable from beginning to end. Boring.

If You've Seen One, You've Seen Them All,

The plot of this movie revolves around a woman (Katherine Heigl) who has been to and planned 27 Weddings, has a different frumpy dress from each of those weddings and has never been married. She tries to admit it doesnt bother her, until her younger sister decides to get married before her (to her boss). But she doesnt know that some man has eyes on her. This movie is like hundreds of other wediding movies and is predictable from start to finish. I would not waste money buying this, rather rent it on the video stores bargain rental night.

"27 dresses" is a mildly entertaining comedy that doesn't really rise above average, but makes you laugh from time to time, and has some clever one liners that are quite funny. The main character is Jane Nichols (Katherine Heigl), a woman that adores weddings, and has made a hobby out of being a bridesmaid. She would love to get married, and has already found the right man for her, George (Edward Burns), her boss. Unfortunately, he sees Jane as a friend, and falls head over heels in love for someone else, who happens to be Jane's younger sister, Tess (Malin Akerman). Things get even more confusing for Jane when Kevin (James Marsden), a handsome and somewhat cynical journalist that covers weddings, enters the picture. All in all, I can say that I liked "27 dresses", but that I'm not likely to watch it again anytime soon. My recommendation? If you hate "chick flicks", stay far away from this movie. In case you are not against them, give this romantic comedy a try.
