Incredibly raw and real. It teaches you that if you get yourself into the system it's a roll of the dice!

HASH(0xa7724e64) out of 5 stars The Real Thing May 6 2007
By S. Cline - Published on
ABC News presents a realistic view of the never ending job of NYPD. The actual events can apply to any large urban city police force. The film informs its viewers about several high stress events that the ABC news team follow in their entirety. This DVD is a must see for criminal justice students who are considering entering into police work.

I love this presentation of the NYPD,

This movie gives you a great preview of whets being done "behind" the scene to protect new York city
You alos get to see some actual work of the NYPD while they are "on" scene.

If you are looking for a DVD to sit back and relax too. Then I should tell you first, that this one, The NYPD is a Hectic and Busy documentary. So much is happening in it, they have certainly packed everything they could Into this Two Disc Police Documentary DVD. Its Rough, and its Tough, and its EXCITEING.

The NYPD is forever on the GO. Watching them almost exhausted me, and i was only just an onlooker. This ABC film, shows us the Day and Night work of the thousands of members of the police force in New York City. For me it has been a very good insight into all that does go on in the NYPD, as well as out there on them STREETS. This is one you will want to play many times over. I feel i have received an education from it all. And I'm certainly a little more wiser now. I highly recommend this.

HASH(0xa766d708) out of 5 stars ... these brave folks are still working and it is amazing to see what they used to be like Nov. 28 2014

Some of these brave folks are still working and it is amazing to see what they used to be like. I have gotten a lot of entertainment out of the "then-and-now" aspects of this series. It's obviously very rah-rah for the NYPD but if you hate the NYPD why are you buying this anyway?
