Product Description

From Amazon

Let Nigel Slater give new meaning to the phrase "fast food" with The 30-Minute Cook. In previous books such as Real Fast Food and Real Fast Desserts, he blazed a trail for quick preparation of European cuisine; in this third volume, he tackles the rest of the world, still in 30 minutes or less. Consider dining tonight on Indian Spiced Lentils, Camembert Baked in Pastry, or Persian Lamb Kebabs--and still have time to read the kids a bedtime story or work on that novel you've been meaning to finish. Slater's basic premise is that everybody has to eat, and there's no reason why we can't all eat well in the same amount of time it would take to heat up a TV dinner or order a pizza. So if you've got a hankering for Moroccan Chicken or Grilled Prawns in Yogurt and Lime, let The 30-Minute Cook help you get dinner on the table with plenty of time to spare. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best cookery writer alive today! May 6 1999
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I have all of Nigel Slater's books and they are my most used cookery books out of a collection of hundreds. He is really funny (if your sense of humour understands Two Fat Ladies) and I enjoy browsing through them for light entertainment. The food is fresh, tasty, fast and easy. His pudding book is a revelation if you need to make something fast and are a nonpudding maker who usually relies on fruit! Suitable for anyone - amateur to professional.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb and Quick Recipes! Oct 6 2010
By Magic Lemur - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Recommended this by a friend and, just as reading alone, it is fantastic. It is difficult to ignore his passion for the subject, and he is a man who clearly knows his ingredients.

AND the food it makes is fantastic - have only tried 3 so far, but they were amazing considering the cooking time.

As my friend recommended, so I pass on - this book is superb!
