If you love Caron (like I do), you must have this CD. It's not Caron perfection, but it's still pretty good. I read the only other review for this recording and found it unduly harsh. Yes, a lot more synth/synth bass and sequencing on this one, but worth listening to.

I own all of Caron's records, and have listened to them many times. This is the last album I bought. There are some killer grooves here, and the sound in general is really nice and interesting. Great sounds, great mix. On the other hand I can't really find the soul in this album. it feels very mechanic to me and even the bass solos sound very repetitive, with the familiar Caron phrases played over and over again. If I had to give up 1 Caron album this would be it. Again, not saying it's bad, but not up to my expectations compared to the other records.

I like the arrangements of the pieces, the playing as well. I think on the whole a good set of songs. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I prefer music to be a little faster.
