The CD is very helpful. However, the speakers often use a rapid speed, which strains the novice listener to catch the significant nuances required when using a language for purposes of making oneself understood while also trying to understand.

Good for beginners or as a review. Oct. 30 2009
By H. Mayson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book is broken down into 11 "Units" each consisting of 8 lessons and an end of unit review of information covered in that unit. Where the lessons have vocabulary or dialoges, there is an audio lesson on the accompanying CD. Each lesson also has exercises to reinforce the information of that lesson. The language covered in this book is quite basic and good for a beginner and as a review for people who have studied French before and need that review.

I bought this book as a review. I like that the lessons are short and cover a certain theme, which keeps one focused on a certain subject. I enjoy that the lessons are short.

This book is hands down the best French book I have ever purchased March 4 2015
By Margaret Maria - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book is hands down the best French book I have ever purchased. More importantly, I have come along the lessons further than any other books that I had previously studied and that's because of the small-bite nature of the lessons - it makes learning so fun and not overwhelming at all. I look forward to each lesson and the CD is also a great supplement. I just love this book and I am very determined that I will be (for once) finishing a French book!

A great present for someone that want to get back to the French they learn in High School. I buy the book for adults, kids, and anyone that is ready to learn. Easy, and fun. Also the CD is great! IPod to the gym and you are on your way to speak French.

I'm a visual learner, and the writing and review are very helpful. I use it along with the free site duolingo.com and am learning much faster.
Great for summer June 15 2015
By Christopher Hiestand - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is the best lesson/activity book for keeping the French you learned in school fresh over the summer. 2 lessons a day keeps the stuff in your brain.
