Best on the market Aug. 12 2011

When i first purchased this attachment i looked at close to them all. This one however is the one i finally came to decide on... And well worth it, First of all its thick sturdy aircraft grade aluminum. I was looking for a way to mount a flashlight onto my Mossberg 500 shotgun for a home defense tactical set up. when i got this item and seen how sturdy it was i was very impressed, i also bought a nebo flashlight for it as well. This Little device has rubber grips on both the inside clamp parts so it wont mess up the finish on your gun and holds the light securely with no give at all. I can literatly swing my gun around by holding just the flashlight. Bottom line is if your looking to attach a light to any gun dont go for a cheap plastic piece that can break and loosen after firing a few shells... This thing is worth every penny... and if i get another shotgun i will order another one of these... 5 stars!

Great little clamp Sept. 11 2011

Like everyone who reads the reviews here you always wonder about the writer of the review. Well I am clearly no expert but I have loads of experience with shotguns. This light mount is cool in a ugly kind of way.

It won't add much weight to the shotgun but even a small amount is noticeable. It is what I wanted, I needed a mount that would allow me to use a variety of lights and or laser's on my defense/hunting/truck gun. Its a ugly mount but in a good way sort of futuristic.

I am using it with a Cree 3 inch long, 1 AA battery light. its a 1 inch diameter light but would accommodate a slightly larger light. The clamps are lined with rubber to prevent marring the finish on the gun. Changing to a laser can be done in seconds and the device appears to be well built and really clamps down tight on my extension tube and the light. I really don't foresee it ever coming loose.

I am pleased with the purchase and recommend the product

Why are you guys leaving this on at the range?!?! May 13 2013

Sitting here reading all the complaints about this rattling loose at the range is cracking me up. Why you feel you need to leave a tactical light on your shotgun at the range is beyond me. Of course the recoil from 12ga double ought buck is going to rattle it loose after a dozen or more rounds. God handmade your shoulder and even that'll rattle loose after that many rounds. Let me help y'all out. For the intended use, a tactical light mount, this is great. I have confidence that in a home defense scenario it will have no issue keeping things illuminated through a couple rounds of PDX slugs. Holds my light to my home defense shotgun without issue. If you are buying it to look like you are Special Forces at the range, find something else.

Works Great May 30 2012

I have this mounted on a Maverick 88 12ga as a way to attach a flashlight without having to add a rail-mount. This light mount is very sturdy and has held the flashlight to the mag-tube securely through well over 100 rounds. The quick detach is a little tight, but I consider that a good thing as I don't want the mount of my flashlight flying off while firing. Very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone that wants a simple and inexpensive way to mount a flashlight to their shotgun.

NEBO No tools required Flashlight/Gun light Mount Jan. 23 2012

Bought this light mount from Fradon Lock Company on Amazon. Item shipped the same day I ordered it! Wow - fast! This light mount is well made of black anodized heavy aluminum with a "no tools required" quick attach/detach locking clamp. The inside of both sets of jaws are lined with molded rubber pieces resulting in a firm, non-slip grip once locked down. Two notes here - once clamped down, you will need to put something under the clamp handle to lift it to unlock it. I ran a piece of paracord under the clamp handle to pop it back open without scratching the mount or the gun. Second - I would not attach this to a barrel, as the rubber inserts might be negatively affected by a hot barrel. One side of the clamp has reliefs cut into the outside of the jaws, so it can fit between a shotgun barrel and magazine tube for a side mounted light. However, it would not fit sideways on the 12ga. Pardner Pump. Instead, I installed it at 6 o'clock under the magazine tube. The most it can be rotated up from the 6 o'clock position is about 45 degrees (let's say to a 4 o'clock or 8 o'clock position) then the jaws get wedged between the barrel and magazine tube. Once you lock it down though, it is SECURE. I used it to mount a 1" diameter Cree LED light to a shotgun and it is great. I can literally pick up the gun by this mount or by the light and swing it to my shoulder with no movement of the light or the mount. It is easy to use and SOLID! Great piece of kit - you won't regret this purchase.
