Product Description

Product Description

2010 album from the German Power Metal band. Founded in 1984, Helloween are pioneers in their field, and the inventors of German Melodic-Speed-Metal. 7 Sinners is the band's 15th Studio album, and is definitely one of the fastest and hardest albums in the bands history. 7 Sinners bursts with vitality, and presents sensational novelties -and still is a record in best Helloween tradition. The so-called mortal sins are the overall concept of the album. 7 Sinners plays light-heartedly with the heavy symbolism of the seven main vices. This is also a specialty of the band: touching dark themes and turning them into something constructive, owed to their positive attitude.

5.0 out of 5 stars Overall the best they have ever done! Dec 27 2010

It took abit to really appreciate the production on this album having been such a fan of the first few albums with Deris. After the 2nd listen it all just came together for me. For the first time on any Helloween album for me I can listen start to finish without skipping a single song. Every tune has a hook that keeps me listening that one more time. A must for fans old and new.

4.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 stars for this guilty pleasure! Dec 12 2010

I don't thing Helloween ever received the true recognition that they deserve & it's a sad thing as they are considered the pionneer in Power Metal. A band that never was afraid to take risks has resulted with a career of hits & misses but, they somehow always managed to come out on top. "7 Sinners" is the perfect example of that.

This is the album that Helloween needed to release after their last effort that consisted of classic Helloween songs all butchered up in the worst possible way. Really a bad way to celebrate the band's 25 year in the music industry guys. The good news is that they didn't butcher anything on this release. It's Helloween at its best.

The band hyped the album by stating that it would be 1 of the heaviest & fastest album they ever released & they were right. "7 Sinners" have a lot components that strike ressemblance with 2000's "The Dark Ride" being heavy & dark, but still have plenty of the band's unique sense of humour that is noticeable just by reading some of the song titles like "You Stupid Mankind", "The Smile of the Sun" & "Raise the Noise" which also include a flute solo.

All in all, Helloween is on top of their game again & 1 listen to "7 Sinners" will disipate any doubts you might have about the band's relevance in 2010 & the years to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Toujours aussi Heavy et mélodique Feb 8 2011
Format:Audio CD
Aucunement en perte de vitesse après toutes ces années, les citrouilles nous gratifient d'un album de speed mélodique dans la plus pure tradition. Le meilleur album Metal de 2010 sans conteste.
