Let's face it these guys still know how to rock better than any band out there. Instead of comparing A Bigger Bang with the Stones' previous work try comparing it with all the other Rock that is out there right now. This record rocks harder than most. The guitars sound excellent and Charlie Watts is as solid as any drummer in Rock. If you want to read more reviews of this album just go to Amazon.com the American website. There's around 200 reviews on the site and you'll get a good idea of what people think of the new album. Very positive!!

"A Bigger Bang" should be retitled "The Biggest Bang", because you get the biggest bang for your buck. This album sees The Stones go back to what they do best: rock. This has been a long awaited album, seeing as their last studio album, "Bridges To Babylon", was a complete flop. You will not be disappointed with this album, The Stones have redeemed themselves for the years without a decent release (with the exception of "Forty Licks"). Highlights of this album for me are "Sweet Neo Con" and "Back Of My Hand", but the absolute best track on here is HANDS DOWN the Keith Richard's track entitled "Infamy". Simply phenomenal.

I agree with the other review. I couldn't download this without a great deal of help from the IT people at my work. When I e-mailed Amazon they said "At this time, we list only a small number of copy-protected CDs on
our web site, and they are clearly marked as such." This one wasn't marked so I could avoid it.
I listen to music on my I-pod, I no longer carry around a Walkman and that's a legitimate choice for a consumer. I don't care what fight this label has with Apple.
What it means is I can't buy anything new online from Amazon until Amazon helps us through this 'war'.

I am a diehard stones fan and have not liked an album since Exile on Main Street..til now. I like all but 2 tracks on this, their latest effort. I'm not going to critique each song since reviews are very subjective and what I hear in each tune you may not...however, do give this cd a listen and judge for yourself.
For the previous reviewers...too bad, so sad you can't copy the songs and upload them..I had no problem copying them onto MY MP3 player (for my pleasure)...

The Stones are never likely to let me down with their studio releases, but this time they have gone beyond expectations. Their isn't a through-away track on this 64 min. CD. The album may be their best since Tatoo You.
IPod folks can download free software from the net (like musicmatch), make a file with that from the CD (protected or not) then import the file to your Ipod library - I've done it! Quit underating a great CD for the wrong reasons!

Lots of Stones bangs for your bucks here! Their finest album
in recent memory, it holds it's own alongside many of their seventies outings. The songwriting is excellent. The boys are playing great. They're back in top form. It's a solid listen, an instant classic, and it only grows on you with repeated plays. It's very very rare that one can give any of the Stones albums a five star rating in a good many years, but A Bigger Bang! No problem!

The Stones finally produce an album's worth of great songs. I've listened to this non stop since I bought it and each time through I find a new song I like. Rough Justice, It Won't Take Long, Rain Fall Down, Laugh I Nearly Died, Streets Of Love, Back Of My Hand, She Saw Me Coming, Biggest Mistake and Sweet NeoCon are all great songs. Also, I had no problem converting the songs into a format that was playable on my ipod-like player.
