This is a delightful story of a young boy being brought up by his mother's aunts, one of whom is not quite normal but has a heart of gold. She loves the boy dearly and gets him to partake in her annual Christmas cake baking whose cakes are then distributed throughout the town. The other aunts and uncle seem to leave the child rearing to her until one of them decides the boy needs Military schooling to cultivate him. The entire story brings back memories of a time gone by when people didn't have alot of money but gave of their labors of love.

I was watching this excited to know that the little boy is teh same actor as the boy in The Santa Claus. However, I kept watching it hoping the mean people in it would learn something and the "lesson" would be stated. However NOTHING happened. Yes, the boy and his aunt had a special bond - but other than that - it was the worst christmas show I have seen and would not recommend it - I am just glad I rented it from the library!
