From the Inside Flap
Retta King, a pilot and airplane owner, made a promise to never to get involved with any of the song birds who flew into Nashville. Then she met Denison Adams, a handsome rancher who was trying to become a songwriter.
Nashville is a big city, but every time she turned around, Retta found Denison in her path until the day he chartered her plane to fly him back to Bugtussle, Oklahoma. In the aftermath of a terrible storm, Retta realized that her vow wasn't as important anymore. And she'd fallen in love with the very man she was determined to avoid.
Carolyn Brown also writes a humorous weekly column called That's The Way It Is for two newspapers. Carolyn was born in Texas and grew up in southern Oklahoma.
