What a wonderful series!, Mar 21 2012

This is probably one of the best Love Inspired series I've read!!! Irene Hannon delved into some pretty deep issues. Nathan's deep, dark secret shocked me! But it gave us understanding to how he got to such a dark place in his life.
First of all, on the book: I enjoyed how the author linked Nathan and Catherine together. Catherine lost her husband when he was killed by an armed robber. Nathan just spent ten years of his life in jail!!! But Catherine has more to tell about the robbery. I can't tell you everything.
I thought it was so sweet how Nathan and Zach connected right off. Zach needed a father desperately, and Nathan had the patience to take Zach and his mother under his wing and help them. I enjoyed Nathan's pet name for Zach - so sweet! I also enjoyed the message of forgiveness. Zach didn't keep the fact that he was in prison from Catherine. He told her early on and let her decide how to deal with that, and she handled it like a lot of us would.
I can't reveal anymore! This book is just full of surprises!
WARNING, SPOILERS BELOW. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!!!!
On the series: Mrs. Hannon dealt on a variety of issues. She dealt with death, suicide, drugs, alcohol, premarital sex, abortion, molestation, murder, and prison. Things weren't always pretty, and sometimes the scenes were hard to get through, but her messages were so clear! I cannot get over how good this entire series was. All the books deserved more than a five!!!
Read these in order. The first book is pretty much stand alone, but the last three should DEFINITELY be read in order!!!

A book that keeps you interested from beginning to the very end. A wonderful story of forgiveness and healing and second chances for those who make a mistake. This is a great book to give to someone who broke the law, served time and learned from their mistakes and turned their life around. It is a great example of what the Lord can do in the lives of those who have committed a crime as well as those who have been a victim of a crime. This author never fails to give her readers a lesson as well as great love stories. And don't we all need to be swept away in this day and time to be reminded how great is to love and be loved. You can't go wrong with a book from Irene Hannon.
