Affaire de Coeur Wonderful!... Judith McNaught is truely the spellbinding storyteller of our times.

Product Description

From sweeping passion to taut suspense, Judith McNaught has entertained millions with a stunning array of emotions in nine dazzling bestsellers. In this beloved classic, "one of the best ever" (Rendezvous), two defiant hearts clash in a furious battle of wills -- in a glorious age of chivalry.

Abducted from her convent school, headstrong Scottish beauty Jennifer Merrick does not easily surrender to Royce Westmoreland, Duke of Claymore. Known as "The Wolf," his very name strikes terror in the hearts of his enemies. But proud Jennifer will have nothing to do with the fierce English warrior who holds her captive, this handsome rogue who taunts her with his blazing arrogance. Boldly she challenges his will...until the night he takes her in his powerful embrace, awakening in her an irresistible hunger. And suddenly Jennifer finds herself ensnared in a bewildering web...a seductive, dangerous trap of pride, passion, loyalty, and overwhelming love.

5.0 out of 5 stars My All Time Favourite, Oct 17 2008

This review is from: A Kingdom of Dreams (Mass Market Paperback)
I've been reading romantic historical fiction since I was a teenager and I've read just about every author out there. This book is my all time favourite. I've read it probably about 6 or 7 times. I just keep coming back to read it again. A wonderful story with a great heroine. All Judith's books are great but this was the one I enjoyed the most.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fitting Title, July 12 2007

Jennifer our heroine is first described as plain, opposed to her beautiful sister. She is also courageous and very witty. Our hero Royce "wolf" is a fearsome warrior with a scary reputation. Jennifer is very loyal to her family who deserve no loyalty what so ever. Royce has a lot to put up with when it comes to Jennifer. It's beautifully written and I really enjoyed this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read love story!, Feb 15 2005
By
Nancy Landry (Toronto, Ontario Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Kingdom of Dreams (Mass Market Paperback)
This was my first read from Judith McNaught. I fell in love with her style of disctiptive love!!! Chapter after chapter, love abounds, and you get so entranced by this book that you start thinking you are IN the book. You feel like you are a courtisan watching as thies events happen, as love flourishes, as hearts are stolen and passionate love made!! This historical romance novel is a must read!! But be warned: make sure you have time ahead of you, because once you start this book you will not want to set it down before the last page!!!
