Product Description

Product Description

For the Kindle Fire or the free color Kindle apps for PC, MAC, iPad, iPhone and Android.
Let the author take you on a photographic tour of this wild and beautiful Alaskan island with photographs of bears, eagles, sea lions, sea otters, foxes, wildflowers and gorgeous landscapes.

In response to reviews, I've re-edited and removed a few duplicate pictures that missed my eye... at least, I hope I got them all! It's difficult since all the pictures are familiar to me and don't stand out like they do to someone seeing them for the first time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Photos June 3 2012
By Mia Jasper [Spanielhill Publishing] - Published on Amazon.com

This book has a great collection of wildlife, nature and spectacular scenery photos. As another reviewer said, there are minor issues with formatting and duplicate images but the photos more than make up for it.
I was particularly awed by the beautiful scenery shots. And surprised by the photos of Bald Eagles massed and perched on rooftops and in harbors. Having lived in places where seeing a few Bald Eagles in one place is an amazement, seeing photos of 20 or more in one placed had my jaw dropping.
If you like wildlife or nature photography, you will love this book.
My thanks to the author for sharing his island.

4.0 out of 5 stars A nice peak at Kodiak Alaska May 21 2012
By dugvon - Published on Amazon.com

While the author admits this pictorial of Kodiak Alasaka was done by an amateur, it is still enjoyable to view the photographs. There were a few repeats that could have been eliminated thus making the book a little smaller. A very nice overview write-up at the back of the book would have been better placed at the front as an introduction to the photographs. All in all, this was an enjoyable read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kodiak for real Dec 23 2013

I enjoyed this journey in pictures very much. Everything is just as it appears to the naked eye, no unrealistic color adjustments, so you know that you are seeing the true Kodiak. Definitely something I would send to a friend or family member I want to tempt into visiting me here on The Rock.
