Book Description

Dec 16 2008
Do soul mates really exist? Is there another person out there who was born just for you? And are they the only one who can answer your heart's call? Bridget Monahan is an elementary school teacher and she's about to find out the answers. Her heart is on the mend from many failed relationships, she's a skeptic when it comes to finding love, and the last thing she wants is to be set up on a blind date. However, she's introduced to the charming bad boy Tristan Hathaway. Bridget's first impression of Tristan is he reminds her of a beautiful fallen angel with a British accent that makes her knees weak. When they begin their passionate romance, Tristan is able to break her defenses that were guarding her heart for so long. Despite being opposites, she allows herself to fall deeper in love with him and starts to believe they are soul mates. Bridget unexpectedly becomes the student in this magical love affair and her biggest lesson is there's more to Tristan than she ever imagined.

1.0 out of 5 stars In the Author's Own Words April 27 2012
By Madeline - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Before anyone even considers reading this book, you might like to read some of these choice comments from the author responding to negative reviews of this book.

From Feb 16 "..I haven't responded to every negative review because not all reviewers are liars."

From Feb 16 "... I'm not sorry for losing your purchase. I'm really not."

From Feb 17 In reply to someone who wrote "I will now add your name to my "Never Read" list and spend a great deal of time mocking you, instead." She wrote "Thank you for admitting that. I've now reported your post as abuse."

From Feb 17 "But oh what shall I do now that I'm on your dreadful Never Read List?"

I ask you, is this an author you want to support--who posts these appalling albeit hilariously unprofessional comments to those who have a negative reaction to the book?

As for the actual book-or shall I say preview chapters as I couldn't force myself to buy it-several other reviewers have summed it up best. "Superficial, ludicrous, creepy."

3.0 out of 5 stars Written in language apropos for teens with VERY adult scenes May 26 2010
By T. Schoenborn - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I really wanted to like this book a lot more than I actually did. The concept was good as was the overall storyline, however the adult themes did not mesh with the young adult writing style. I would have also enjoyed seeing a red pen taken to the mundane portions of the text, this book could have and should have been condensed down to a much more managable size.

1.0 out of 5 stars A very poor effort Jan 30 2011
By K - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
The sex scenes in this book are what I would term 'romance by ikea' - unimaginative and wooden at best. The rest of the book has very little to say for itself; poorly thought out, poorly written, poorly edited and full of nauseatingly florid metaphors and glaring mistakes.
