Absolutly brilliant! Mr. Sheldon at his best. This is right up there with my other classic favourite Master of the game. Great beginning with the troubles of Toby Temple, his rise to fame, his lonliness all depicted with sheer class. Not to mention Jill Castle. Amazing ending. Un-putdownable..

I think this will be my last book of Sidney Sheldon, may be the book is good, but all of his books have the same style: the first part of the story you can't put the book down, in the middle he writes pages and pages of stories that doesn't have to do anything with the main story, and at the end he repeats two or three times everything to get to the end, when you are about 3/4 of the book you just don't know if you want to finish or just skip all the pages to the end of the book. The story of the book is a well known story of Hollywood, if you are a woman and you want to have success there you have to have sex with the directors, if you are a man you have to deceive the director to have their attention.
