4.0 out of 5 stars A short review for the A-Z Mar 30 2003
By Bogi Macsai - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
A helpful resource book for ESL/EFL teachers. Entries of grammatical categories and terms, as well as usage-related topics (eg. intonation) are listed alphabetically. All entries are cross-referenced for easy access to information on related themes. Cartoons, tables and simple example sentences help the reader make sense of each entry. Differences in British vs. American usage are pointed out whenever possible. Also includes pronunciation guidelines and a list of irregular verbs.

This grammar can also be helpful for (intermediate level + ) ESL/EFL students.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent reference for native and non native speakers Nov 25 2006

I find this book an excellent resource and reference for my university students who are native speakers of English but haven't had any grammar training (apparently we don't teach grammar any more in our school systems); it's been especially useful for teachers-in-training. I have also used it as a reference for high intermediate-advanced ESL students. Great resource!

In fact, a good book I got during my study of language in Britain and is a reference grammar for students and interested in the development of their language. Book organizer and ease of access to information required to quickly add to the presence of graphics that help explain and understand.
