I do not own a Gameboy, but as I was looking for information on the old Amiga version of this game I stumbled across this page. I have to say that the Amiga version has impacted me ever since I was 14 years old. I'm 28 now and can still remember the music, scenes and dogfights. There really was a sense of honor you got from the game. What I liked most about it was the fact that you actually fight throughout the whole war. You didn't just play a few well known missions (as with most other WW games), you really got to play through years of missions. I actually don't remember ever completely finishing it.It was so realistic in theory, I have always somewhat hoped that a newer version for the PC would be released so there could be modern graphics.

I've gotten into the Amiga version of this game like no other. I even bought the 1927 movie. Everyone who likes dogfighting should get this game!

This was perhaps my favorite game on the Commodore Amiga. Its awesome on the GBA but I see a few minor flaws. One of my favorite things on the Amiga version was the different tunes that changed after each mission as you read the squadron journal. Also, the lighting condition doesn't seem to change. For example, in the Amiga version you had to patrol during different times of the day such as dawn or dusk. Another thing is that this version is difficult as its very easy to collide with another plane and get shot down. Some pilots even seem like they're trying to ram into you. The plane's control in strafing mode is very difficult unlike the Amiga version. I usually fail. Bombing mode is improved and awesome. Another improvement they've made is the option to play as the allies or the Germans. Please Cinemaware/Metro 3d make a Playstation 2 version of this game. Perhaps it could be made even more detailed with weather conditions and the choosing of different planes a la Red Baron for PC. I'd also like to see the classic missions back with the original tunes that I still remember vividly after 13 years!!
