Book Description

Oct. 25 2010

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Awesome! Typical Moebius - A must buy!! June 23 2014
By PJ
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I have been a fan of the late Moebius' work since the mid 80's and want to express my appreciation for his unique vision and technical brilliance as he has not only inspired myself but countless others with his imaginative stories told through humorous words and detailed images. This book is just another fine example of his genius. Although the text is in French it did not stop me from purchasing this book as the colourful images contained on every page are true works of art and speak for themselves. The book is over-sized format (9.5"x12") similar to the Casterman/Aedena line of Moebius books from the late 80's (Made in LA, Venice Celeste, etc...). In addition to the main story there is a "Bonus Portfolio" section containing more fine examples of his work. Definitely a must buy for the Moebius fan or anyone who appreciates amazing art.

2.0 out of 5 stars Le livre n'est pas arrivé en bonne condition April 18 2011
Format:Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure brilliance July 8 2014
By Denny Borsboom - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This is one of my Moebius favorites. Moebius' characteristic mix of surrealism and sci-fi, supported by brilliant drawings using perspectives only the master could envision. Even just the cover drawing is worth the price of the comic.
5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful addition to the world of Arzak. July 23 2013
By DDimas - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I cannot read French. I have, though, read most of Moebius's English translated works though. This is one of the last books he ever drew and wrote, and it truly does live up to it's namesake and mythos. This is yet again, another stunning creation (and sadly, one of the last) by Jean "Moebius" Giraud. Even if you don't speak French, but your a fan of beautiful, otherworldly, and masterful artwork.....you should probably pick this up.
