Frustrating to type because a glitch in the keyboard will suddenly send the curser and what you are typing to another line causing you to stop, correct and go to where you left off... I've even been booted out of an email. This occurs frequently and ruins the effectiveness of owning the unit.

This computer has lasted me very well and is surprisingly tough. I have smashed it full on into the cement and dropped it multiple times and it still works almost perfectly.

My only complaints are that the battery failed to hold a charge after about 1 year (but had the best battery life I have ever experienced before that, 13 hours no problem) and the processing speed can be slow at times.

Recommend using for casual internet browsing/checking email and nothing heavier.

I needed something to replace my broken notebook with so I decided to give this little guy a try. I did not need a gaming portable because I would rather play games on my gaming rig at home. I needed something that I could travel with. This one came with the hard drive already split into two partitions which made upgrading the OS from Starter to Ultimate easy using virtual drive software because I don't have a real one yet. The Windows Experiance Index scores are: Processor 2.6, Memory 4.5, Graphics 3.1, Gaming graphics 3.0, Primary hard disk 5.9. The silent almost fullsized keyboard is good if you can get used of the smaller right shift button and the large multi finger Smart-Pad can be programmed to your liking. The battery life is this netbook is probaly the best available right now. The only bad things I found out about this machine are in upgrading it. The case has to come apart to change the hard drive which voids the warranty and it is very picky about the type of memory modules that will work in it. I tried out a Samsung 2 gig(m471b5673eh1)that I borrowed to see how it would run and it failed to boot. I found a memory advisor tool at crucial dot com that helped in finding some that will work. This netbook is snappy with the 1 gig that came with it and is all most regular users would need. I am going to buy a couple more of these cute little machines for Christmas presents this year. Pick one up today, You won't regret it.

This product is amazing! The chicklet style keyboard took a few days to get used to but once I did, I found it met all my needs. The two finger scroll is incredible and the battery really does last the entire day....I'm a student and I use it in class and in the library for 10 hours per day and it still has about 2-3 hours left when I get home....

I bought this netbook to replace my hp-dv6000 laptop that died in almost every way possible in 2 years. I wanted something portable with good battery life. My old laptop was lucky to get 2 hours on a charge when it was new.

My primary use for this netbook is university work. I have been using it primarily for word processing, internet, PDF reading. Works wonderfully for those purposes.

I am incredibly satisfied with this product's battery life. I have been getting 10-12 hours to a charge. The computer is defenitely not the fastest out there and there are some delays in opening programs for the first time such as web browsers or even 'My Computer' but I'll happily wait 10 seconds so that I can use it for 10 hours.I cannot wait to take it on a plane and to be able to work on it for the entirety of a 5 hour flight flight.

The boot time with `boot booster`is almost as fast as the expressgate boot-time which I found impressive. I was also impressed with the quality of the speakers as I have heard much worse on full sized laptops in the past. I happy with the recovery partition`s option to `backup`your recovery partition to an external drive, so if the HD ever fails you can still reload your system.

Not a gaming system by any stretch of the imagination, but Starcraft works great.

The only small annoyance I have is the brightness settings on the screen are very bright on the lowest settings. I also had a little trouble using a shared DVD-rom to install programs over a router. Turned out if you are not sharing with two Windows 7 machines, you need to turn off `homegroup settings.`

Overall I highly recommend this netbook to anyone looking for portable computing with amazing battery life.
