No internal setup required, just plug in your ethernet cables and the power cord and you're good to go. The box worked fast from the first second it was turned on, with no lagging over my house's network or any other quibbles.

It's a great product from a trustworthy company being sold for an unbeatable price. There's nothing else I can say but I recommend it!

Works very well - and doesn't need software - just plug into a prior-ally setup Router - then plug your nic devices into the ports and power it up - wait a moment for it to initialize
That is it.

Would recommend this product to all; if you have run out of ports on your router like I did to plug in other nic devices

It is a simple hub, no need to fiddle with settings (allow/deny) it just moves packets. Connect the switch to the internet/intranet add up to seven devices. It features a priority slot (VIP) that allows that device to send and receive in preference to others devices.

I had a d-link 5 port switch fail on me, and these were on special, so I bought one. A couple of months later, I needed to add another port at a different point in my network. I could have just swapped out a couple of the switches, but I decided it was time that all my switches were same make and model, so I bought two more.

Network has been running great since then, and it's been just about a year.

Only giving it four stars because the original one I bought has had a single port fail.

To be fair, though, this could very well be my fault, or something to do with my network or its location, because the d-link I had there failed, too.

Using this router for my bedroom setup to connect my pc to the wired network. Speed is good and video streaming works great.
