I purchased this tablet after many hours of research comparing this one to the iPad2, Motorolla Xoom and the Samsung Galazy Tab. What sold me on this one is the multiple expansion opportunities. I bought the combo with the keyboard attachment and I'm glad I did. It basically turns this thing into a mini-pc. Tablet computing is not quite at the point where it can replace a laptop but it certainly is getting very close. I found myself hardly needing to go back to my regular PC.

The Android operating system is great. As soon as I powered it up and registered with my google account, there was a notification that new firmware was available. About 20 minutes later I was off and running filling the tablet with games and apps. It's got a very smooth interface and response time was somewhat quicker than the iPad's. The "Flash" feature is a sure winner as well. If you are familiar with an Android phone, you'll have a very short learning curve. Otherwise, it's very intuitive even for newcommers.

One nice feature of buying this particular tablet is that you get free unlimited cloud storage for one year. That is incredibly handy for storing those files to take with you on the road when you don't want to use up the device's internal storage. The added dock gives you two usb ports, an SD reader and another battery! Joined together this thing boasts over 16 hours of battery life. Real time usage though gave me just over 13 hours of use. That's still amazing for a tablet. The keyboad's trackpad is a minor annoyance to get used to so I stuck with using the screen to move around and the keyboard to type.

The tablet itself has a micro HDMI port and micro SD slot. I plugged this into my 55" Samsung TV and was blown away! The picture was amazing. There was nothing to configure, it just worked. Streaming movies and playing games was pure fun. The transformer comes with enough pre-loaded apps to get you going, but the market if full of fun and productive stuff to discover.

There are endless on-line reviews of this and many other tablets. It was difficult to actually find anyting negative on this unit. The only negative items I can note, is the unit's weight as it is slightly chunkier than others. The other minor annoyance is that the "Gorilla glass" tends to show fingerprints quite a bit more than others. That was easily solved by adding a protective screen.

Overall the unit seems flawless and tons of fun. Highly recommended.

I got this for Father's Day and do not regret it. This is an extremely versatile tablet especially when paired with the keyboard dock. I also purchased the keyboard dock and now have the perfect netbook. Along with thousands of Android Apps (and growing), it really is an awesome tablet. The tablet also includes MyCloud and MyNet. The included Polaris Office Suite is fantastic, being able to use Word, Excel, and Presentations, it really becomes a work horse for those wanting to create documents. I am still learning new things about this tablet daily. Exceptional tablet!

After doing some research on different e-pads/i-pads; of which I too relied heavily on previous customer reviews, I purchased the combination Asus Eee Pad/keyboard docking station. Very easy to connect/disconnect the Eee Pad to/from docking station. The screen quality is vivid and clear with a nice touch screen. It charges efficiently and has a good battery life on its own. Right now I am using it for internet convenience, e-books and games, although it has many additional features, along with USB and headset ports. It also is a nice makeshift mini-laptop while docked to the keyboard and charges continually which is a nice bonus. The screen can get marked up with fingerprints, however, this is easily fixed with a plastic Eee-Pad cover protector. Considering this is my first Eee-Pad, I am quite happy with it.
