"An Okay PSP Game ",

Based on the highly famous and sucessfull "ATV Offroad Fury" serie for the PS2,"Blazin`Trails" for PSP has the same concept as the ATV games for PS2 as basicly you pick a rider,a Four-Wheeler and try to beat the oposition in a serie of races and tournaments.Unfortunatly it seems easier than it is,the truth is you won`t enjoy it at first as its a frustrating and difficult game.The controls are hard to master and executing tricks is a "make it or break it" move that can cost you the race.Its no secret that like everyone else i found the game frustrating at first,it was hard to predict when to do a specific action like jump and then land properly.I played the game for a while because i tought it would get better and it did as i learned the controls,how to do impressive tricks and even won a few medals and tournaments.If you give this game a chance and time you will then be able to apreciate the game for what it is. The game is basicly an ATV racer where all you do is race,in different modes that is.There is Race Mode where you can race against computers or alone.Next is Lap Attack in wich you will race against your best ghost(its the replay of your fastest lap but its racing along with you).Free Ride is just a mode where you can play freely,practice your jumps,tricks and more for as long as you want.There is Championship,this is were you can win medals and unlock things,kinda like a career mode. It takes time to master the controls but once you did,it becomes fun and making tricks in the air is awesome but all along the game is tought.The graphics for "Blazin`Trails" are average at best for the PSP.They aren`t ugly but they aren`t amazing either so there ain`t really any problem on that point.The enviroments,riders and Four Wheelers look diverse and at times the enviroments look pretty good and were designed much like the games on the PS2 wich is good.Online is very good and possibly the best part of the game as there are tons of game types you can do from race to king of the hill,tag ball,hockey,hunt,basketball,soccer,graveyard madness,beach tager,rings of fire and bomb dodge.There are also the online ranks,scoreboards and more. You can unlock new Four Wheelers,riders,rider gears,tracks,mini games,logos and music videos to buy at the shop in exchange of the credits won during the championship mode.There are also cheat codes to unlock things and even a level editor were you can create up to three courses per enviroments,it would have been nice to create your own levels but you can`t do that.Also you can create a custom logo in logo editor and have it on your Four Wheeler wich is nice. Yet if gamers think its so bad and hard then why is it a "Greatest Hits" game?Because the idea of driving a Four Wheeler around and making really cool tricks sells.Everyone will fall into that idea because they will think they are better than everyone else and that they can beat this game so "Blazin`Trails" will continue to sell. "ATV Offroad Fury Blazin`Trails" if you give a chance can become a fun game but you need to patient wich is why most gamers didn`t give it a good rating.Overral its average at best,its mostly the PS2 ATV games but more frustrating it doesn`t have anything new and its alright really,its not that much of an awesome game.

At first i found this game to be really tough and frustrating but i kept on playing and slowly kept on winning when i upgraded my ATV.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The secret to this game is to release gas pedal when youre in the air and press it again when you're about to hit the ground. Landing is also everything so make sure you land on a downhill and not on a uphill which will just slow you down. Make sure you upgrade your bumpers coz when a collision happens youre most likely the one who survives and not the other guy. also make sure you use the right tires so check it before the game starts. If it has 5/5 stars or 4/5 stars it means its compatible with the ground. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ People who rated this game below 4 stars were just impatient and i dont blame them, i put down my spiderman2 game after 1 level coz i find it difficult and boring. This is still a challenging game for me, i always have to keep on replaying a level before i get to win just to memorize each corner. I would definitely give this game a chance coz this is the only game i still play (roughly 2+ months now) and i havent played any of my games....not even lumines.... and it goes for less than $30 now!!! 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful

This game is a long awaited relief to the otherwise boring lineup for the PSP. It feels just as good as it's previous versions but It's handheld! Good buy. Don't read the other reviews, I almost passed on this game due to those false reviews, don't be as foolish.

I recently rented this game and I am pretty happy with it. It is a little challenging, but once you get the hang of it its really fun. The graphics are very nice, the sound isnt bad, but the gameplay is a little tough(its not a major problem). The replayability is also pretty good(I recommend that you dont play it too long the first day you get it;it might get boring). Overall, I enjoyed this game and im probably going to buy it.
