It was funny to see all the 1 star reviews for this movie. However, each review is bang-on accurate. This movie is so bad that there is zero redeeming value in it. The only reason to buy it is if you already own the entire Predator and Alien series, and you don't want a hole in your collection. I'm serious. There is no reason to own this movie, let along watch it. It stinks. There's no other words. It's like a dental appointment that goes on for 90 minutes. Who gave this movie the greenlight? Can we have him or her fired? How do we ensure that this never, ever happens again?

There are no characters, just stereotypes. There is no acting, just saying lines and running. You can't see anything as the film was shot very dark (probably to hide bad costumes and effects).

As one reviewer said, it's too bad we can't rate this lower than 1. And as the same guy said, you just have to cheer when the town is (spoilers -- as if you care) nuked. You cheer because this movie is over.

I've seen a lot of movies in my day, but this ranks among the stinkiest. Easily in my top five worst movies ever. I am now dumber for having seen it. I can't even tell you about the DVD bonus features because I didn't bother with them. You won't either, so please forgive my bad reviewer etiquette.

No stars. The worst. This sucks. I hope Predators will be better.

& I'm not talking theme or content.
I am talking about the visual darkness of pretty much the entire film. Whoever was responsible for the lighting on this film needs not to do lighting in film. There were times I couldn't tell who was fighting whom & I had my TV set to vivid w/all the lights out. I thought perhaps the creatures were so cheesy they needed to hide the cheesiness ... not true. I watched the bonus features & they put a lot of work into all three creatures.
Could've been good, but the overly dark print made it very difficult to enjoy.

Here we are with the second installment in the Alien vs Predator series and already there is the definite smell of something rank in the air,and it is not a dead alien. It is unfortunately the beginning of the decay of this franchise and if something is not done to correct the situation it will be permanently terminated;and I for one will be glad of it,for its' sake and ours. That is something I thought I would never find myself saying about this series because the first one while not that good either, had much more going for it plot and acting wise, even though I rated that only three stars. As with that movie, the special effects/aliens in Requiem are the whole movie;the best things/"actors" in it.
The story starts off with the crash of the ship from the first AVP movie into a forest near a town in Colorado.A man and his young boy are in the woods and find the crashed ship. Both are lept upon by facehuggers. We are then introduced to a guy just out of prison who arrives in town by bus and is greeted by the sheriff who he obviously is friends with.We are then introduced to a young man(who is the brother of the ex con)who of course is disenfranchised with his job and ends up with a delivery to the house of a girl he knows. He makes with his delivery, and with the eyes, but as he departs he is set upon by her boyfriend and two others. We next meet a female soldier on leave(?)from active duty who is returning home to her husband and their young daughter who she hasn't seen in some time and the daughter is not in a particularly huggy-smoochy mood. This is the first 20 minutes of the film! Do the words "information overload" come to mind? Also "plot contrivances"? This is pretty run of the mill, hokey material the writer is dishing up here which is the worst way to begin a movie.

Well I have to agree with the other reviewers. This is bad.
It is really lacking focus. There is a sort of wanna-be Sigorney character
who had some potential and should probably have been the lead in
a rewritten script. As it stands it is not even close to
the first AVP.My suggestion, pick something else even if you loved the Alien
series and AVP.

Predator was good, alien was good, and so were all of the sequels AVP was cool with good dialog and fighting, AVPR sucked no character development and full of gore, not a good sequel
