The Gobe & Mail ran an review last week and said: "The success of this collaboration between Ahluwalia, best known as a singer of ghazals and Punjabi folk songs, with the Malian desert bands Tinariwen and Terakaft, can be measured by how easy it would be to hear it and not immediately realize it was a cultural fusion at all....Ahluwalia's fluid, powerful vocals (singing contemporary Urdu and Punjabi poetry she's set to music) translate effortlessly when melded with the Tuareg grooves that drive the album.
Special mention should also go to the contributions from ritti player Juldah Camara. His playing on Rabba Ru and Saffar take the tracks to a whole new extatic level.
