Good ABC Book, Engaging Images and Themes, Mar 25 2011

We started reading this somewhere around the 12 month mark for our little one. Nearly a year later, he still requests a read or two every day.The book features 2 letters on each page. Each letter represents an emotion with a corresponding picture of a child experiencing that emotion.
An example of a a line in the book is:
A is for angry when I'm having a bad day.
And the sentence has an angry child next to it.
Our very favorite part, however, is the last page. It gives the whole alphabet in big, colorful block letters. You can sing the ABC song together. You can point to letters and say what they are and then ask the child to point to them.
So far, this is the most engaging ABC book we've come across.

My 18 month old son LOVES this book. I now know the book from memory I've had to read it so much. I have to hide it some days after reading it for the 6th or seventh time. It's a cute book though.

When we bought this book (over the Internet), I thought it will be a waste. I still don't think that the faces and emotions that they are supposed to represent match. The other gripe that I have is that flaps are easily bent, even though my daughter is a fairly careful reader (for a toddler). However, at the age of about 21 months, she fell in love with this book. Her initial favorite was an "E" picture - "E is for Embarassed - Oops, I made a mess". She calls this book Messy Baby Book. She is now on a letter learning mission, and she is also learning to identify moods from this book. Now her new favorites are unhappy, excited, playful and naughty.
