Excellent pocket ref,
This review is from: Accident and Emergency Radiology, 2e (Paperback)
I'm an Emergency Resident ... this book gives you golden tips for interpretation of plain films! As opposed to naming fractures and injuries in the ridiculous Rosen's or Tintanelli fashion - it gives anatomical descriptions and uses proper radiographic terminology. A+ !

This review is from: Accident and Emergency Radiology: A Survival Guide (Paperback)
A very easy to read comprehensive book on how to accuratley read and diagnose x-rays. I just recently started working in an ER in Port Chester, New York and every x-ray that i have looked at, i have referred to the book. It is an intellegent and sophisticated yet simplified and beautifly structered book. Very easy to read and understand. A book every healthcare professional should have.

Solid basic info,
By Patrice L. Gordon - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Accident and Emergency Radiology, 2e (Paperback)
The best basic radiology reference I've encountered for those of us who aren't regularly interpreting Xrays but need to have a systematic approach that will work for us when we need it. It provides a guide for analyzing an X-ray in a step-by-step fashion and gives relevant pointers regarding subtle findings that you don't want to miss and common pitfalls. Contains lots of useful (and clearly reproduced) sample Xrays.

Excellent Reference for A&E Radiology,
By E. Mackenzie - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Accident and Emergency Radiology, 2e (Paperback)
I work in an A&E department. The author Nigel Raby gives a one day course that bring his subject alive and turns you from 'what am I looking at' to 'ah this is abnormal' in one day....this is his one day course in an easy-to-read book. This book is used every day in our department. It is well laid out, quick to reference, well thought out and an overall excellent reference for reading xrays commonly seen in the A&E department. It also points out common pitfalls and errors made. An excellent book that I reccomend for any new SHO in the A&E dept.

Great little reference book for those who deal with any kind of accidents. Does a great job of differentiating normal vs. common abnormal. Not a comprehensive text, but the comprehensive texts are the ones never used.
