An excellent omnibus edition of some of Clarke's best work. Jan. 5 2013
By halman - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
Arthur C. Clarke wrote prolifically in the 1950's, touching many subjects. Through his short stories, he exposed audiences to many new concepts. This compilation includes "The Sentinel", which was used in the tremendous work "2001: A Space Odyssey", as well as several other short stories. Clarke's monumental novel "Childhood's End" received many positive reviews, and still stands as one of the most innovative of all science fiction works. One of the best depictions of life on the Moon someday in the future is "Earthlight", another of Clarke's novels included in this edition.
Classic sci-fi stories by the master! July 27 2013
By R S Cobblestone - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
I received this volume as a birthday gift. What a blast! This volume contains 18 short stories plus 2 novels, Earthlight and Childhood's End. Childhood's End had a lasting impact on me as one of the first and best stories I have read, and this rereading of that book was still enjoyable.

Any sci-fi aficionado will appreciate a copy of this collection.
