I love it when a book helps me write better lyrics for my songs, and also helps me to perform better. I thought it might have potential as a reference book for a songwriter, and I took a chance on buying it. It works well. Great songs are emotionally true and this book is a very helpful resource in getting me there. Actioning the lines in a song you are writing can help you sharpen them, rewriting them to deliver stronger, truer emotions and enrich the song accordingly. The same can be said without changing a line - actioning especially helps the interpreter of song (the singer) deliver a better performance, and actors of course will find this invaluable in early rehearsals. Love it!

This is a solid tool for actors learning the ropes of verbs and actions. Verbing a script is always a struggle at first, and this little book comes in handy.

A word of warning, however: some of the verbs in this book are not really strong acting choices. The actor has to do his or her homework and weed out the ones that aren't as specific as they could be, or are just plain useless in terms of action. But overall, this book offers a good place to start.

If you're serious for acting and preparing for roles, this book will make your life easier and a little confusing at the beginning, 'cause now you have such a wide range to choose from, but like all, with practice.
I carry this book everywhere.

This is a great product for both director and actor! I've used this book with my actors to help them find stronger actions and verbs. This is overall a great product that I recommend to both aspiring actors and directors!
