Best WW2 Shooter,

This is a fabulous game. There is a fairly extensive campaign as the Russians, British, and Americans. Although I haven't finished it, the campaign is really fun, not to mention quick load times. The Russian campaign has its ups and downs and there is a nice feature to be able to select the order in which you play the campaign. For example, I got a little bored of the Russian campaign (too much of the same snow and buildings) so I started the British, which took me to North Africa. The multiplayer is addicting, with different styles of play. There is a CS plant/diffuse bomb mode, a team deathmatch, ctf, and headquarters. It's good to try and be able to master different weapon tpyes like the M1 Garand or Kar98 rifles or the MP40 or PPSH smgs without crosshairs (aiming down the sight is essential). There is a nice feature of a kill-cam, so you can see how you were killed. Although I haven't played Brother In Arms: Road to Hill 30 or Earned in Blood I can say that this game surpasses all other WW2 shooters on the market such as MoH:AA, BF1942, etc. The game has good graphics, and great smoke effects. You need a pretty good machine to play this game, but not exceptional like BF2. I have a nvidia GeForce FX5200 and can run it on low graphic settings without any lag (except while running through smoke). The multiplayer is fun, although not fabulous and the single-player is great. Overall, CoD2 is a great game that should interest gamers who like campaigns and gamers who like multiplayer alike.

Great game. Runs even on older PCs. Online play is good and works without DVD installed. WWII action and weapons. Story mode is challenging. Can't destroy your environment but that's typical for games of this period. Still playing-Still fun.
