Product Description

Take a look overhead--Spider-Man is arriving to the Game Boy Color just in time. As the beloved photojournalist-cum-webslinger, you'll explore New York's skyline, sewers, and hideouts to fulfill several side-scrolling missions. Use Spider-Man's superhuman strength to fight such notorious foes as Dr. Octopus, Venom, and Electro. Use his spider abilities to spin webs (any size) so you can disable and detain bosses, swing around buildings, and creep along walls and ceilings. And thanks to your spider-sense, you'll detect impending danger from a distance. There is no wealth or fame at the end of this game, however; action is your only reward.

Awesome Dec 26 2000

Spider- Man for Game Boy is a great game. The whole storyline of Dr. Connors' lab being blown up and Spider Man going through the city and fighting the villains is pretty cool too. The graphics are pretty good although not spectacular. The gameplay makes up for the graphics. If you are familar with Spider- Man then you will easily spot the villains. However if you are not it may take some time to see them.
One thing I really enjoy about the game is that you can actually have a fight with the villains out of the adventure. For ex., at a certain point in each level you may come across a spot and the screen will appear and you will be fighting a villain.
I reccomend Spider- Man for older Game Boy users because the gameplay is very challenging and youngsters may get confused. If you buy this game you will definitley be happy with your purchase. Buy and enjoy.
HAPPY GAMING!

Pretty Cool game! Aug. 31 2000

When i was opening the spiderman package, I was wondering , was this game worth it? "I asked myself." But I was pleased to see how fun and cool this game was. I mean, you can swing from building to building, and throw a little web at your enemies, which i thought was awesome. And spidey, looks pretty ... good for a little character. It's worth the purchase. I really enjoy playing this game. but, when you start playing this game, you're gonna be like ahhhh mannn. But, the key thing is to understand the controls, and i bet ya, you're gonna have fun playing this tittle. So i give it 4 stars. It's a cool game to play when ya get into it. It's phenomenal! So check it out.

Do not listen to other people who have review this item and gave it one star. They are probable little kids who are under 18 and don't know how to play a game with challenge. That is what good about this game it has old-school challenge and that is important and very hard for me to find in a game. The villians are cool the story is somewhat the same as the N64 version but a little different.

Not as bad as one would think Dec 23 2002
By N. Durham - Published on Amazon.com
Before Spider-Man became a box office smash and became everyone's favorite hero, Activision changed the way super hero licensed video games would be by releasing the surprisingly great Spider-Man games for the PS1, N64, and Dreamcast. Eventually a GameBoy Color version would be released, and while it's nowhere near anything great, it is surprisingly solid and challenging. The graphics are typical 8-bit side scroller fare, but are colorful and well animated. Controls are simple and the enemies (especially Venom) are very challenging. This game is also surprising in the fact that it is more solidly realized than any other 8-bit or 16-bit home console game that was nothing more than a repetitive beat 'em up with a comic license attached to it. All in all, those who only have a GameBoy Color and are fans of the web head should give this a whirl.
The best Gameboy colour game. July 28 2002
By Stuart - Published on Amazon.com
It is too hard but it is still miles ahead of anything else on the Gameboy colour. I am not that good at hanhelds but I manged to get pretty far in the game and I have beaten Venom, The Lizard, Hobgoblin and Venom again. I am now fighting Venom a 3rd time and have found I can't beat him. The birdds are also pesky too. But it helps that the better you play the more points you get which gives special moves which makes fighting a hell of a lot easier. I have had a lot of fun with this game and as soon as I learn how to beat Venom again I will no doubt have more fun with it.
