Love the program, but integration with CS5 is a problem Nov. 15 2011

I like the product and I have purchased Adobe products for a long time. They are very, very expensive but overall usually quality products.

The fact that CS5.5 has so may issues integrating with CS5 really, really, really (did I say really) upsets me. I have one version of CS5 on one computer at work and one version of CS5.5 on another computer at home. On some applications I run into compatibility issues where Adobe has not made 5.5 compatible with 5.0 (plenty about this if you care to Google this issue). Given that I have spent $1800 per copy, this infuriates me!

Stupid me thought that "common sense" would dictate that 5.5 would be compatible with 5.0. It is sometimes, but way too often the applications are not.

Even if you personally only work with one version, be careful if you have to share files with others.

If not for the incompatibilities with CS5 I would probably give it 5 stars.

Beware of Illegal & Pirated Software Sept. 13 2013

I wouldn't recommend buying software on Amazon. Most sellers at the reduced prices are selling corporate licenses they've bought and are just loaning you access to one of their disks or seats. Most of the low cost options are not single user licenses.

This is a pirated copy - do not buy! May 23 2013

The vendor told me when I doubted the authenticity of the software that "we are partnered with an Adobe Authorized Partner," so they are legal by association? The vendor maintains that this is a media kit (the software discs sold separately from a multi-user license), but they do not label it as such in this Amazon listing. Even if it is a media kit, I doubt Adobe considers selling multiple copies of it to be legal. If it is legit, then why is the cover a poorly done fake and all interior documentation just color prints from an inkjet? The disc labels are poor copies also. I didn't even attempt to install such a shady product, but the license numbers are volume license numbers according to Adobe. No seller from the Amazon Marketplace is an authorized Adobe reseller!
Who Needs CS6 if 5.5 Price Is Right? Aug. 22 2013

When I bought this April 2013 it was going for $540. Crazy to spend $1,400 for CS6 when the "new features" really meant nothing to me. I'd happily been using CS4 (as an old work copy I couldnt upgrade from it personally). I like the improvements in CS5.5 (especially 64 bit Photoshop). Now only $300 separates 5.5 from 6 so if I were buying today I would get CS6.
Adobe CS5.5 and Acrobat X Pro June 30 2013

Fast delivery.
Some problems while installing the suite: at the end the installation did not finish correctly, the setup was trying to install Acrobat X Pro and was unable to continu. But the suite was installed correctly. Trying to install Acrobat X Pro failed also. After restarting the program refused again and asked me to undo certain files, after that the installation finished correctly.
I love it because I did not want to upgrade to CS6.
Now everythings seems to funtion correctly. I just have to learn how to use the new suite (some difference with CS3.
