Advanced Piano Solos Encyclopedia Oct. 21 2005

Format: Sheet music
This book is excellent and contains a great selection of songs. It is hard to find piano solos for advanced players and this fills the bill.
Complete List of Songs Sept. 23 2014
By Marisa - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Sheet music Verified Purchase
There seems to be 2 categories for popular piano sheet music on Amazon, Beginning and Advanced. I would consider Tom Roed's arrangements to be Intermediate, less challenging than Dan Coates Advanced Solos. That's a good thing for most of us piano music lovers out there with limited time to practice. It's nice to sit down and play something immediately. The music has no finger suggestions, no lyrics, but does have chord notations. Thick book so will not lie flat, I always have my larger books rebound at a printing shop. This book was originally published in 1999, is now out of print and is the most difficult of the 3 volumes to locate. Here is the complete list of 41 songs:
*After All (Love Theme From "Chances Are")
*Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)*
*Always*
*Baby, Come To Me*
*Butterfly Kisses*
*Classical Gas*
*Fame*
*From This Moment On*
*Gonna Fly Now (Theme From "Rocky")*
*The Greatest Love Of All*
*Hands*
*How Do I Live*
*I Believe I Can Fly*
*I Believe In You And Me*
*I Don't Want To Miss A Thing*
*I'm Your Angel*
*In This Life*
*It Might Be You (Theme from "Tootsie")*
*The Jetsons*
*Looking Through Your Eyes*
*Misty*
*My One True Friend*
*No Night So Long*
*Now And Forever*
*Out Here On My Own*
*Put On A Happy Face*
*Right Here Waiting*
*Samba del Sol*
*Scarborough Fair*
*Searchin' My Soul (Theme From "Ally McBeal")*
*Separate Lives (Love Theme from *White Nights*)
*The Shadow Of Your Smile*
*Singin' In The Rain*
*Something About The Way You Look Tonight*
*Theme From New York, New York*
*Unbreak My Heart*
*Valentine*
*The Vows Go Unbroken (Always True To You)*
*The Wind Beneath My Wings*
*You Are So Beautiful*
*You're Still The One*
It keeps getting better Dec 9 2011
By Stella Fitzgibbons - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Sheet music
This is a great compendium of songs people want to hear, from TV themes to popular stuff to movies and Broadway. Every time I play for a different audience or occasion and try to anticipate requests, I go to one of Mr. Roed's books for material. Arrangements are late intermediate to early advanced, and many are simple enough to sight-read. A real treasure.
