Hooray for Galaxy Rangers! :) April 17 2005

Okay, the only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because the production house for Koch Vision didn't do a quality control check and screwed up doing the menu authoring on the master file.

So.... when you hit play for play all eps, it skips Chained and doesn't think it exists. You can get it to play if you go to the Episodes menu and then select Chained. The other problem came in trying to get it to play Smuggler's Gauntlet from that menu. That could be something I was doing, but it didn't seem to work for me.

Other than that, the episodes are crystal clear and super sharp and the audio - full stereo!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!

Chained - good ep & good introduction for the Black Hole Gang. Midnet - Killbane's & trying to prove he's better than Goose (again) and you get to see another hint of the Goose & Niko romance. Smuggler's Gauntlet - nothing like a car chase with guns a-blazing in Tortuna. Birds of a Feather - lots of humrous moments and I wonder if this is the last we see of Bubblehead - he's great for comic relief. He & Doc play off each other so well. :)

I am still puzzling over Sir Robert's selection of order on this, but I won't complain too much, since we are getting our show on DVD finally. (Thank you, Koch Vision, Sir Robert & LordPink for all the work on this!)

Now, this has been talked about on the Ranger-L Listserv and I do have to agree with it - we need a GR soundtrack!!! I hope from what I've been told, that it will come out with the boxed set, but why do we have to wait for it??? :-p

((Come on, Sir Robert - you should drop in on the Listserv - they'd love to hear from you!! [...] has the instructions on how to join. *g*))

I'm so glad they put Galaxy Rangers on DVD. Now, I can finally prove to my friends that I'm not senile and that this show did in fact exist! Yes!

Great 80's cartoon Aug. 2 2005

I've always loved the Galaxy Rangers, its one of my most favorite cartoons of that decade. This dvd has four episode: Chained, Mindnet, Smuggler's Gaunlet and Birds of a Feather . This dvd is great for all its cowboy space adventures. If you are a fan of great action cartoons, this is one of the best.

No guts no glory, no pain no gain! Sept. 24 2005

One of the few "Space Cartoons" that actually got it. Galaxy Rangers should be the model for any future space western, live or animated! I hope that I'll get to see this series again on the cartoon channel or elsewhere. Simply the best type.

I also loved this tv show from the start, there is something about the cowboy mixed with science, different from any other show out there with likable characters. But they need to release the whole series instead of angering their very loyal fans with re releases of the few VHS tapes on DVD. Just release a full box set, people will buy them.
