I first heard Affentheater while in Germany. Unfortunately most German music I heard was in English, but when I pressed my friends to show me some truly great German music they put in Westernhagen. At first I was confused--so many different sounds coming from the same man--but soon I began to deeply admire the talent he displayed. It is nearly impossible to get bored with this disc; there are heavy gutteral songs and light slow songs, deep introspective songs and critical political songs. I especially recommend "Ich brauch ne Frau" and "Willenlos", "Unter meinem Fingernagel" and, of course, "Es geht mir gut".

This CD was recommended to me by a German friend of mine. They said that it would appeal to any one looking for rock pop in German that is not too heavy and not too light. this was just the ticket. Many of the songs were very upbeat and good for dancing. Most were good to sing to, but not all. some got a little on the crazy side. I just had my copy stolen and miss it already. I wish I still had it. I really liked the songs. Much of the content was a little bit sexual in nature, but nothing too bad. Many of the songs were funny, and many of them were more serious. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for some good german pop rock
