Deluxe edition includes three bonus tracks. 2012 solo release from the six-time Grammy Award winner and founding member of The Eagles. After Hours, a collection of classic love songs from the 40's to the present, is his sixth solo album and first since 1995. It is also a total departure taking him in a whole new direction. The two-and-a half year project was developed out of Frey's passion for the songs and sound of such artists as Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, and Dinah Washington. The exquisite collection of songs include 40's classics such as "Sentimental Reasons" and "My Buddy," and favorites from some of his contemporaries, such as Brian Wilson's "Caroline No" and Randy Newman's "Same Girl" as well as the added spice of the American standard, "Route 66." Frey collaborated with co-producers Richard F.W. Davis and Michael Thompson, both members of The Eagles touring band, to make the record possible.

We had people over last night and everyone just loved the CD. They were really surprised who the singer was.

I am absolutely thrilled with this album! Glenn has such a beautiful voice, which suits these songs perfectly. So smooth - at times tender yet at other times powerful. It proves what a versatile singer he is. He sings each song with such passion. Glenn wanted to record this album for his parents while they are still alive. It truly is a labor of love for him & it shows. "Here's To Life" sends thrills down my spine every time I hear it. "Same Girl" is hauntingly beautiful. I can't pick a favorite as each song has its highlights.
Glenn's hope, which he has stated in many recent interviews, is that of the hordes of Eagles fans from all over, a small portion will be curious & listen to this CD & be introduced to some of the great music of the past. I, for one, can't play this album enough & am anxiously waiting for volume 2! Make sure that you get the deluxe edition. None of the 14 songs should be missed. His parents should be very proud!

Glenn should stick to what he does best and this ain't it. Who does he think he is? Rod Stewart?
