Rereleased from the past in a new combined set. It's great for those mystery/crime viewers who can't afford all of the Poirot and/or Marple series. There are so many, and now fans have voted these selections to be the BEST. Well they are all good, but having watched about all there is of Agatha Christie that has been dramatized for TV, these are good. A fine choice for the beginning follower of Agatha and the film adaptations.

Poirot Favorites
Poirot is a Belgian detective, good at what he does, just ask him, and he's funny too.
Art Deco is the 1920-30s period and the show uses that. Six episodes first as Masterpiece Mystery, then DVD. David Suchet is Poirot, Hugh Fraser plays Hastings, Philip Jackson as the Yard's CI Japp, and Pauline Moran is secretary Lemon. Mega and many guest stars.
Murder on the Orient Express ; comes previously from Series 12. My favorite.
Hercule Poirot's Christmas -Prev Series 6
The Mysterious Affair at Styles -Prev Series 3
The ABC Murders -Prev Series 4
The Adventure of the Egyptian Tomb -Prev Series 5
Four and Twenty Blackbirds -Prev Series 1
Marple Favorites
Miss Marple (Geraldine McEwan and Julia McKenzie) is an aging sleuth with a quick mind that eventually gets the bad guys. She's always a step ahead of the coppers. These also originated on Masterpiece Mystery. Like Poirot episodes, you'll get to see many major British guest stars. Even Derek Jacobi
The Murder at the Vicarage - this and the next episode prev Series 1
A Murder Is Announced
At Bertram's Hotel - Prev Series 3
A Pocket Full of Rye -Prev Series 4
The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side -Prev Series 5
If you look up individual series, you'll find my episode summaries for most.
It's a great start (set), in my opinion, even though I was not a voter. The best is to own them all, but that takes time to acquire. Check the list carefully and don't duplicate, there are too many excellent episodes to own.
