sort of a Junior James Bond/Mission impossible, Feb 23 2008
This review is from: Agent Cody Banks (Widescreen & Full Screen Special Edition) (DVD)
think of this as a junior James Bond/Mission Impossible.it's silly, but
fun and action packed.it's also not at all plausible and it kinda loses
steam when it gets serious and the ending is a bit maudlin.other than
that though,it's a pretty good movie.there's nothing really offensive
about it,bit there is a bit of sexuality implied.in my mind,Keith David
is standout in his role as the director.it's not that big a role, but he
sure has fun with it.Arnold Vosloo is also great as one of the evil
henchman.if you can shut off you brain for 1 hour and 42 minutes, you
might enjoy this movie, for what it is-mostly fluff, with some action and
comedy.i give Agent Cody Banks a 4/5

Really enjoyable - I was surprised, July 13 2004
This review is from: Agent Cody Banks (Widescreen & Full Screen Special Edition) (DVD)
Cody Banks is actually an enjoyable movie. It's a teenage James Bond, that fun and easy to watch.
The bad parts: the bad special effects - they suck and take way from the fun atmosphere.
The sexuality - I was thinking if kids see this movie it might be too sexual for them. It's rated PG and Harmon is dressed seductivly.

Quality flick, July 5 2004
This review is from: Agent Cody Banks (Widescreen & Full Screen Special Edition) (DVD)
I thoroughly enjoyed Agent Cody Banks, and I actually just bought this DVD. Sure, the movie is mostly just fluff and recycled bits from other movies, but it's entertaining enough that you can kind of ignore some of its faults. Frankie Muniz is great as the young CIA agent thrust into a situation that he doesn't want to be in, namely trying to get some information from Hilary Duff's character. The formulaic plot moves along briskly, and the action and comedy aren't top notch, but not bad. I tend to enjoy a lot of the live-action family movies, and this one didn't disappoint me at all. I'm looking forward to picking up the sequel when it comes out, too.
