About the Author
Athena McCormick is a dedicated novelist, poet and blogger who has been inventing stories since before she knew her letters and writing them down since before she learnt to read. Her writing is mostly fiction, but she has been known to write the odd opinion piece here and there. In addition to writing fiction, Athena's passions include poetry, photography and graphic design. Athena currently lives in the U.K. She keeps in close contact with her parents, six siblings and their dog, Loki. Athena succinctly describes her writing addiction: "Trying to go a week without writing would, for me, be something like trying to go a week without oxygen; I'd be dead after five minutes."

It's a nice, short read that is simultaneously cynical, sensitive and humorous and it's unique. I love the characters' different perspectives, how each character tells things in their own way and their own voice and how their individual stories come together to make one cohesive piece.
Even though it's not full of crazy plot twists, there is absolutely nothing predictable about this story. You never quite know where the story is going or what's going to happen next, but you're always eager to find out.

While reading this I laughed out loud more than once, shed the odd tear, and was strangely uplifted.
In many ways a lighthearted look at the apocalypse with random startling pieces of beautiful prose that almost border on literature.
